Christmas morning arrived and it didn’t take too much nagging for Jayson to wake up so we could open pressies! Scored some good gifts too! Jayson brought me the Star Wars II xbox and PSP version of the game – should keep me busy on the tube for awhile! He was also naughty and brought me an iPod Nano – which I thought was rather funny as I was slagging them off only a week before when we went to the shops – feel bad now! But in hind sight it is a good idea – nice and small and easy to use on the tube and he was really sweet and put pics of us and my family on there – made me a little upset (I’m okay with the being away from home thing as long as I don’t think about it!) but it was really sweet of him and now I have a white iPod to go with my white PSP – though it was a bummer as he also brought himself a black one – but got ripped off by the guy on ebay and it hasn’t arrived yet :/
Lots of pressies from the family too – got three shirts with long sleeve tops over them for work which look really good (wearing one at the moment) and are very warm too! And another top and jumper in light green from Belinda which also look really good (the jumper looks good over two of the shirts as well!) and some milo and body wash that can only come from Australia too! Jayson got a nice pair of lambs wool slippers from the folks as well!
I brought Jayson an xbox hard drive – which sounds rather boring – but is something that is needed so we can play the older games on the xbox – plus a few other small bits and bobs!
We headed over to his mums place for 12.30 and said hi and picked her up – Jayson was a big meanie to her dog (she has two – one that is really really old called pug, and another that I call ‘licky’ cause that’s all she does – lick everything! and pug has a spot right in front of the file – but jayson was standing there and pug was trying to push him out of the way (by headbutting him) and then we smelt something burning and pug is standing there with his tail in the fire! silly old dog!
So we then headed over to the family Christmas at Jayne and Darrens house and it was a full house indeed! I had met everyone except Aunt Carol and so it was quite relaxed – dug into food pretty much straight away – no turkey or meat as they are vegetarian but it was very yummy with full roast veggies and lasagne and lots of other things to fill up the plate with – ate so much infact that I couldn’t fit in dessert!
We then proceeded to play trivia – with me as the quizz master which was alot of fun – few problems with the pronunciation of a few words but otherwise okay, then a few rounds of twister and this computerised dancing game (PS2 hooked up to the tv – with a mat that has arrows on it – and when the music plays you have to copy the steps on the tv – sound easy – but really isn’t!)
And then it was almost 6pm and time to go home! – Well actually we headed over to Mel and Craig’s to watch the Christmas episode of Dr Who and have a few drinks and then back home (home = hotel) and sleep time as we were both totally stuffed from the day.
Overall a really nice day – missed my family but really nice for Jayson and I to have our second Christmas together!

So much for trying to write more often so they can be smaller entries – maybe if I write a few entries today that will count…
Anyway! Merry Christmas ya’ll and yay the new year is on it’s way! It’s almost 10am and I am back in London after a quick train trip down from Leeds this morning!
So the end of last week went well – Thursday saw very little work getting done and Friday none at all if I’m really honest! On Friday we started secret santa and drinking champs at around 12 (after spending 2 hours deciding on pizza toppings before that) and then drank and opened presents and ate pizza till around 2 when we all went home – though I was slightly drunk (well maybe more than that – damm champs) and realised around 3 – when I was still walking around the same shop for the 5th time – that maybe I should go home. Did the drunk sleep on the tube all the way and woke up as the doors open to my stop (how do drunk ppl do that?) then happily slept the afternoon away until Jayson came home that evening!
On Saturday (23rd) we spent the morning doing stuff around the house and brought a new fish bowl for my fishies, packed and headed up to Nottingham around 6 – had a nice evening with Sarah and Daryn eating mince pies, more pizza and fairy cakes! Plus playing with their really cute hamster called ‘Chav’ who is a Russian Dwarf breed with a cool go-faster stripe down her back!
Lazed around their place Sunday morning then headed up ‘t’ north around 1, stopping off to Dave and then headed to the hotel. Had curry at Mel and Craig’s for dinner and a nice chat then back to the hotel to await Christmas morning! Also gave the family a call and they were at Cory’s parents house for Christmas day and all sounded like they were having a really nice time – hopefully will get some pics from them to put up!

Wednesday already – and what an up and down week so far!
So main gossip – Jayson had an interview on Monday and then another one on Tuesday and then got offered the job from Monday on Tuesday! Mixed reactions though as while it is awesome that he’s been offered a job (straight away!), it’s not really something that he wants and it’s all the bloody way up in Watford – I mean I don’t think that it could be any further opposite where I work or want us to live!
I am trying to encourage him to keep looking for another job – something that he will actually like doing – but the lure of money is very strong – especially when we are very very bad money position, plus we have to move out and it is the most expensive time of the year *sigh* 
I spent most of this morning looking for properties on the north side that won’t make it any longer for me to get to work and will still be okay for Jayson (if he take the job in Watford he wants to drive there) and after looking at all the nice, 2 bedroom houses on the Southside in our price range – there is options of studio apartments and that’s about it on the Northside in our price range. I can’t believe how huge the difference in quality and size there is south compared to north – it’s so shit!
I almost down to thinking we should just get as big a Studio apartment as we can get – shove all our stuff in it and get a 6 month contract – then hopefully by then, overdraft paid off, we can find Jayson something part-time he likes and thats in a more accommodating area of the city!
So bit of tension at the moment – Christmas at the end of the week and then a busy week and new years and then we are basically going to have 1-2 weeks to find something to move into – and then 1 week to move out and sort it all out! *huge massive raspberry*
Right other bits of info: had a really nice Christmas work party – went into the city near Bond Street to a place called the ‘Loop Bar’ where we had a very tasty 3 course meal and lots of red wine – then downstairs around 9.30ish for a bit of a boogie – and I swear I didn’t think I had drunk that much – so I texted Jayson to say I was coming home (he was going to come and collect me if I was drunk) but I was feeling okay – but by the time I got back to the house – omg almost legless – but Jayson had a good laugh at me slipping all over the wooden floor trying to remove my tights.
Early morning up which my head really really wasn’t happy with and over to derrick’s place to try and fix his computer – so we spent until 6pm there – lots of dramas and then went out to Jen and Simon’s for dinner – got a text message after dinner from Derrick to say the computer had stopped working – but didn’t spoil the night and I was very happy as I got taught how to play poker and ended up taking everyone’s chips in the first round!
Had an okay sleep and then back over to pop’s place to fix the computer – ended up looking like the cpu had overheated so we bundled it back into the box and pop’s took it over to the guy he brought it off that evening to be fixed.
We got back to the house around 5.30pm and joined Ciaran sitting in the loungeroom awaiting our house meeting – by 10 we realised Marco wasn’t going to attend so had a brief chat and figured were moving out – Marco stumbled in around 10.30 and then emailed on Monday to say he was at a family thing and the meeting wasn’t ‘confirmed’ – really annoying.
Monday night we went down to Rita and Hamish’s place for roast dinner which was really nice – exchanged a few gifts and had a few drinks then home around 12ish.
Last night I got home to a dark and cold house – some fuse had blown at the electricity plant so every second house had no elec – and it was sooo cold in the house! (Jayson went to visit some friends for the evening) ended up in bed at 7.30 with a jumper, gloves and beanie on reading by candle light!
So tonight we are going to Grant and Sarah’s for dinner which will be nice – Jayson has some work on Thursday and Friday so not going to be staying over – but will be nice to see them both before the craziness of Christmas!
Hopefully I can try to write more often so I stop writing these long rambling posts!
