halfway there

1.36pm

right so they found a way around the key thing – the landlords own the whole block – including the shop beneth where the flat was – so they should be able to get into the flat – so now it is a gut wrenching wait to see what Issac says and how it all turns out – I so hope it goes okay – there are a few things with the place – we had beds when we moved in – but were told by the real estate to get rid of them – and while it was on their instruction – we didn’t get anything in writing – so worried they might make us replace them.

Ciaran will be there with Issac either now or very soon – *arrgggg*

just playing the waiting game…..

omg what a drama

by azyure on Jan.23, 2007, under life's like this

11.50am

We spent 4 hours cleaning the house last night – and got all the stuff moved out and it was all really clean and nice and stuff – and then I have been trying to get hold of Issac all morning to tell him that no-one can be there at 12 to do the inventory and that is has to be done at 6.30 tonight – and now he’s saying that the new ppl are moving in after 2 this afternoon – so the inventory HAS to be done today – so Ciaran said he would go – but being good little bunnines we all left our keys in the house last night so that if we couldn’t make it – they had the keys – and now the real estate is saying THEY have no keys – so all the keys are locked in the nice clean house!

OMG DRAMAS!!!

*huge massive yawn*

by azyure on Jan.22, 2007, under life's like this

OMG I am soooo tired!

and *yay* we are in our own house! (well flat – but you know what I mean)!

I feel like I have been off work for a week – so much has happened over the weekend that it feels alot more than two days.

Pictures of our Flat!

So we drove down a load of stuff on Thursday night – mainly the bean bags which we had to put one in each car as they are so massive! We left one of the cars down there and then drove another load down on Friday night.

Saturday morning we brought yet another load down and then went and picked up Grant and then the van (which was late so instead of 9.30 it was almost 11am before we got it) then went and packed the van – which honestly took us (non-stop) almost 3 hours – and it was full to the brim! Bed, bookshelves, draws etc etc. We then went back to the new place and gave Rita and Hamish a call and they came over and we unpacked the whole lot in about 20 minutes!

Everything was just shoved into the lounge room – then we made the bed up in the bedroom and Jayson and I got dressed and went to Jenny’s birthday Barn Dance. Jayson was a bit pissed already from having beers with the boys while moving so I drove us there – and it was a really fun evening – but by around 11.30 – I was almost asleep at the table so we said goodbye and came home for our first night in the new flat!

It was so quiet – and so nice! No drunk people outside the house singing at 2am or busses zooming past from 5am and ambulances and police cars racing past at all hours! At the new place I even heard a seagull outside in the morning! (small things I know)!

So on sunday we went back up to the old place and got the last load of bits and pieces (mainly clothes that were hanging up) and vacumed and cleaned our room – the rest of the house was still being emptied so we couldn’t really do any further cleaning – so we are back up there tonight to spend a couple of hours scrubbing the place and getting it clean so hopefully when we hand over the keys on Tuesday night – we will be able to get our bond totally back!

Last night we also went over the Rita and Hamish’s for dinner and a few drinks – and it was so nice – I filled up by belly and then fell asleep on their sofa – hehe – oops – just the whole moving, packing, cleaning has left me pretty tired – and the fact that I sleep shit anyway hasn’t helped alot! But it was nice after having a good meal and drinks to be able to have a brisk walk around the corner and then be home – not have an hour journey on public transport ahead of us!

Not looking forward to the cleaning tonight but should hopefully be over soon and then the keys handed over and the bond back and it’s all done!

Busy weekend to come

by azyure on Jan.19, 2007, under life's like this

Well Friday afternoon – day almost over – about to head home soon to do more packing up of the car – Jayson and I are going to bring another load down tonight and then back to the house to dismantle beds and bits and pieces.

We have hired a van for tomorrow which we get to pick-up at 9ish tomorrow morning – and hopefully it won’t take more than one or two trips to bring all the leftover stuff down – I’m crossing my fingers that with the other trips with stuff in the car – that we might get away with just one – but it will depend on how big the van is.

Also have a barn dance on Saturday night which should hopefully be a nice relaxation to a stressful moving day – Jenny from work is having her 30th birthday and her dad is having his b’day as well – so they are have a huge shindig which will hopefully be fun! Quite alot of ppl from work are going and I think it will be nice to get out and meet some new people!

Well end of the day is calling and I have a few things – Monday will see us permanently in the new place and will be my first day of walking to work – wish for clear weather for me!

:)

pass the Keys please..

by azyure on Jan.18, 2007, under life's like this

*Yay* Jayson and I went and signed all the paperwork and got the keys to our new place today!

It was bigger than I remembered – which is a good thing – and I’m really looking forward to us starting to move stuff in tonight!

:D
