*yay* i rode to work!
*finally* got my bike pump and cycled to work today – omg my legs were killing me – and there arn’t even any hills! (*so so unfit!*)

Almost to the end of the week again..
Last weekend was good – went to Reading on Saturday and saw a few ppl and said hi – picked up my new bike on the way back and then watched ‘Curse of the Ware-Rabbit’ (Wallace and Gromit) with Rita and Hamish in the evening ON OUR NEW COUCH!
Sunday we had Richard and Kat come over for a late lunch roast which was really nice – they are great people just to sit and chat with – with alot of the same interests – so enjoyed having a few drinks and some tasty food with them!
More socialising on Tuesday with Grant and Sarah over for dinner – they are all excited about engagement party plans and were really stoked that Jayson and I are going to be able to get to Frome for the party in March!
Last night I met Jayson in Willesden and we trekked over to pick up the computer cupboard – yes I had banned myself from more ebay purchases – but this was such a bargain – they were selling normally for about £130 – brand new they are £225 – and we got ours for £41! So something to look forward to putting together tonight!
I’ve currently been selling quite a bit of stuff on ebay as well – feeds the addiction at least – though the whole lugging stuff around and going to the post office is getting a bit boring!
I’ve got more physio tonight and then tomorrow night Jayson and I are going to Soho to see comedian Russell Howard on stage which should be a nice night out for us!
Weekend has more socialising in place – Daryn and Sarah are coming down from Nottingham for the weekend – not alot of plans made really – few drinks and maybe a movie on saturday night at home – might pop over to the cute bar across the road from us called the ‘Hubub’ as well and then Sunday meeting Grant and Sarah at Greenwich and having a walk around the markets for a bit before they head off!
Haven’t heard from Belinda this week or talked to the folks for a few days – mum is away in Bundaberg and just left dad a message as he was probably outside and couldn’t hear the phone. Also got in contact with an old friend of mine Brett which is really nice and Kerry is getting settled back into Brisbane life after leaving hectic Sydney behind.
Missing everyone at home quite alot lately – I’m really looking forward to doing so many things this year in the UK – but realise that I’m not going to get home this year and it’s a bit hard. Wish I had more money to so I could get ppl to come over and was able to help with that – guess if I had more money I would probably just spend more anyway! Gotta get my arse into gear this coming months and work out how Jayson and I get money transferred over to Aus and look at getting a mortgage sorted too – so many things to do!

so went to ride my bike today to work and the tyres are so old that I need a special valve to pump them up……
ouchie again!
Had some physio again today – and I think that it’s going well for a change – okay yes she rubbed and poked and dug her fingers in and yes my leg is now aching quite a bit – but it’s a different pain – it’s the pain of change! (well I hope anyway – hehe)
The strapping is certainly helping – though my skin is having a bit of trouble with it (betting sores where the tape is anchored) but hopefully it I have a break from the tape on Sunday then it will give it enough time to cope!
I now have 4 small exercises to do a few times a day which have so far been easy to blend into my normal day, plus the tape helping me walk correctly so hopefully in a few more weeks there will be a marked improvement!
