Went to the hair dressers (Carla) with Rita last night and got my hair choppeded!

Monday already and damm the weekend went quickly!
Tuesday now – got distracted with having to leave for a haircut yesterday afternoon and didn’t get back to finishing it off!
So the weekend was good – we went on friday night over to Rita and Hamish’s and had a bbq for dinner – was very nice – up early on saturday so we could get up north nice and early – got into the middle of london and the car broke down – so much for early!
We found the problem and called the AA – and were back on the road by about 9.30 – which meant we got up north after midday – not too bad – but not what we were looking for! Spent a few hours around at Mel and Craig’s sitting in the lovely sunshine in their garden and relaxing! Had a nap in the avo at the hotel and then went out for dinner and a few drinks!
Up early morning on Sunday and met up with Jayson’s mum Karen and Nan and went down to the car boot sale in Brighouse – didn’t really buy alot there – some flowering plants (lobelia) in a few colours and two vinal records (Queen and ELA).
Jayson’s mum then drove us around to a garden centre and I have to say I havn’t been so scared in ages – driving with her was rather scary and quite an experience! hehe I brought a few herb plants at the garden centre (parsley, mint, oragano, chives) but they didn’t have any pots.
We swapped cars and Jayson drove us into Halifax to go to another few garden places and got rather frustrated with being unable to find hanging window boxes – you would think that over here in england – where very few people have gardens – that they would be overflowing with window boxes – but no!
So we brought some hanging half-moon baskets and last night I cable-tied them to the railing and it seems to be doing the trick – Jayson is going to pick me up a few more today from B & Q now that we know that they work!
SO after hooning around to the garden centres and not finding what we wanted – we dropped Karen home and then headed down south again around 2pm – after swapping the car over for the police car (volvo) as Jayson and Simon are driving that down to Le Mans (France) on Thursday. We dropped into Sarah and Daryn in Nottingham and said hi and then got home around 7.30ish – makes for a long weekend!
thinking of funky things to do on our rally trip
> not only photograph the places we go – but set up a webcam in the car/vehicle were driving – maybe between the front seats and snapshot every 5 minutes of the journey or something? not sure how that will work…
>we still have to come up with a team name in the near future so we can secure it!
Here is some images of the places we will be visiting – I stole them from the the organiser Paul from the forum – figure as long as I advertise the Rally they won’t mind too much!
OMG so excited! – Jayson has gone and booked us in to do a Rally
across Europe – it’s so insane but I think it is going to be so exciting!
*big grin*

Basically we have to get a car/van/vehicle for £200 – get it taxed, MOT’d & insured – we then drive with 60 other cars across europe!
Starting on Friday 28th September at Boulogne-sur-Mer (France) – we drive for 3 days completing tasks and hopefully NOT having to fix cars
to end up in Venizia (Yes Venice in Italy for all you non-european ppls) on the sunday evening!
I’ve done a google map > * here * < of the approximate route and the places we are staying over!
Here is the official site as well with all the information about what we are doing – Crumball Rally
