Jayson, Dave and I went down to the Kent Military Show on Saturday 25th August. I umm’ed and ahh’ed about going – but ended up deciding to get out of bed (it was a very hard decision!) and we went down to get there around 9.30am (when the gates opened) – thankfully we did – because the line to get in doubled within half an hour of the gates opening!

It was a 3-day event where people came in their chosen erra and lived and dressed and played the part – it was really interesting, there were people from Roman, Medieval, WW1/2 and many other times, all living in groups with tents/tipies,cooking facilities etc etc that matched their time period.

So we went in and walked around and looked at the stalls (lots of military, clothing, equipment stores set up) and watched some of the re-enactments and ate tasty food (and got a little burnt!)

Pics are up in the cupboard area and on flickr!

Brought a website so that I can do a small personal business site for web development – had quite a few requests recently to help people develop/build their own websites and thought it was about time I made it official!

We went shooting this weekend past for the first time in ages and ages – and apart from being frikkin cold and quite hard work – it was alot of fun!

We went to the Sterling game held at Copehill Down in Sailsbury – the weather totally sucked – rained most of Saturday and during the night (we slept out in a barn that had no doors and was basically 1/3 flooded – and it was cold) – did I mention it was cold!

9 of us went and I think we really worked as a team – even when the main guys forgot all about us and we didnt get a break for 6 hours straight! (I was so exhausted from that) – but we got through it and had alot of fun :)

Pics in the picture area and more coming soon!

this is getting a little silly – I havn’t had time to go back and write about all I have done yet – and now new things are happening and I want to write about them – so I’m just going to skip to recent events and hopefully get back to write about the others in more detail later – the basic run-down was that I got to go home to Aus for about 2 1/2 weeks – surprised mum with the help of dad and belinda (she had totally no idea I was coming) and had a fantastic time!
