Jayson, Dave and I went down to the Kent Military Show on Saturday 25th August. I umm’ed and ahh’ed about going - but ended up deciding to get out of bed (it was a very hard decision!) and we went down to get there around 9.30am (when the gates opened) - thankfully we did - because the line to get in doubled within half an hour of the gates opening!
It was a 3-day event where people came in their chosen erra and lived and dressed and played the part - it was really interesting, there were people from Roman, Medieval, WW1/2 and many other times, all living in groups with tents/tipies,cooking facilities etc etc that matched their time period.
So we went in and walked around and looked at the stalls (lots of military, clothing, equipment stores set up) and watched some of the re-enactments and ate tasty food (and got a little burnt!)
Pics are up in the cupboard area and on flickr!
